new mexico chiles
11 dried red peppers (sometimes called japanese peppers, they are small)
1 med tomato
~put all of the above in a pot of water.
~bring to a boil and boil for a while.
~the large chiles will look kinda slick and slimey when they are ready. (15"-ish)
~pull everything out of the water and put into a blender (don't use a food processor b/c it will not give you the right consistency!!)
1/4 of a small raw onion
1 clove of raw garlic
juice of 1 lime
salt to taste
and water, start w/ about 1/2 c
~add more water as needed to get the consistency you want.
